Sheep wool of Tsigai breed


Tsigai breed is the well-bred semi-fine kind of meat and wool species. The wool of this breed is white, with the fineness from 25 to 31mkm is semi-fine and with the fineness from 31,1 to 40mkm is semi-coarse. The fiber length is from 40 to 150 mm. The demand for tsigai wool is increasing from year to year. It is the raw materials with high quality, from which technical and clothing fabrics as well as knitworks are made. Wool uniformity, density and fineness in combination with strength of hide shreds make the tsigai wool of high-valued and it can be used for fur production. The breed is reared in Bulgaria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Rumania, Ukraine, Moldova and at the south of Russia.
