CJSC “KHARKOV - WOOL” which was founded in 1875 as a factory of primary wool processing is the specialized enterprise in primary processing of domestic and imported wool which is the main raw materials for the light industries enterprises. The factory with all necessary communications is located in the suburbs.

The territory of the enterprise is 4,86h, buildings area is 20500 m². The production area together with additional constructions is 17000m².

The scouring workshop with area of 4340m²  has two washing and drying machines produced by “TESTIMA”, Germany with its productivity:

- fine, semifine domestic wool -  2275 kg/shift

- coarse, semicoarse domestic wool - 2830 kg/shift 

At scouring of imported wool the productivity of the first and the second machines is the following:

- Australian merino -   2520 kg/shift

- New Zealand crossbred – 3500  kg/shift

- Argentine merino – 2100  kg/shift.

The scouring is made in soda-soup solution in accordance with technological scouring regulations.

Working schedule of the scouring workshop is 3 shifts.

After the scouring wool goes to the packing workshop where two presses Д 8237 are installed with productivity of each 12 tone per shift.

There are 6 warehouses with area of 5400m² for raw materials and final product storing.

The factory has its own boiler house with two boilers for supplying the manufacture with industrial steam.

The warming is autonomous (autonomous gas boilers with the system of gas spreading is installed). If necessary it is possible to combine the work of processing boiler house with the warming system.

There are two artesian wells 80 m и 120 m deep for public use.
